Lafferty, who says that the dramatic comedy redefines what success can mean, was game to carry the film.

"If I am ever going to get the chance to prove that I can do this, it is right here, its right now, with this project," he tells Us.
This was followed by landing the lead role of Jimmy Adams in the independent movie Waffle Street, alongside Danny Glover, and being cast in a recurring role during the first season of WGN America's slave drama Underground.
